  • Parc Hosingen has 4,407 residents and 70.65 km² in the canton of Clervaux.
  • It was formed from Consthum, Hoscheid and Hosingen by a law of 24 May 2011.
  • Its highlights are the Molberlee ridge, the Hoscheid sound trail and the Lee Trail.
  • It had just one hotel in 2025; Clervaux is the better base.

Parc Hosingen is walking country rather than sightseeing country. With a single morning I'd go straight for the Éislek Pad Hoscheid over the Molberlee, which to me is the finest ridge in the north. With children, I'd swap it for the sound trail and an afternoon at AquaNat'Our.

Before you go

What I would keep in mind

  1. 01 Most beautiful

The Molberlee, a spine of slate

This rocky ridge near Hoscheid is a nature reserve and protected landscape looking over the Schlinder valley. You can only reach it on foot, via the Lee Trail, the Éislek Pad Hoscheid or local trail PH 2.

  2. 02 To save money

Two hours of swimming for free

AquaNat'Our in Hosingen gives two hours' free entry with the LuxembourgPass. It has more than 3,500 m² of pools, sauna and wellness areas.

  3. 03 My tip

    Hoscheid, where two stages meet

The Escapardenne Lee Trail ends its second stage in Hoscheid, coming from Bourscheid-Moulin (19 km), and starts its third there, towards Kautenbach (15 km).

    Escapardenne

Parc Hosingen is a young commune that shares its name with a school and sports campus, and its own history explains the link. From 1984, Hoscheid and Hosingen shared a sports hall on a site called «Parc Hosingen», and in 1993 they built a school and sports centre there with Consthum and Putscheid. That partnership led to the merger of Consthum, Hoscheid and Hosingen, which residents endorsed in a referendum on 4 July 2010 and a law confirmed on 24 May 2011.

A commune on the up

At 70.65 km² it is the fourth largest commune in Luxembourg on STATEC’s figures, with 4,407 residents on 1 January 2026. The commune publishes its growth year by year, and the jump is striking, from 3,116 people in 2011 to 4,403 in 2026 on its own count. The land climbs from 272 metres at Dasbourg-Pont, beside the Our, to 517 at the Hosingen water tower. There are thirteen official localities, and the town hall is in Hosingen.

The Molberlee and the Schlinder valley

My single pick here is the Molberlee. It’s a slate ridge near Hoscheid, a nature reserve and protected landscape, and visitluxembourg notes it’s home to a steppe grasshopper known from only seven sites in Luxembourg. The name joins «lee», an isolated rock, with «molbier», the bilberry. You can only get there on foot, and it calls for proper boots and a head for heights.

The best way in is the Éislek Pad Hoscheid, 11.63 km and around four hours, graded difficult. It leaves from Hoscheid church, drops into the Schlinder valley and passes St Michel’s Chapel, all that’s left of Oberschlinder. That village once had 20 houses and 69 people, in 1827, and its last residents left in 1948. Inside, the chapel is octagonal, and the pink sandstone and bronze altar by Bettina Scholl-Sabatini dates from the early 1980s.

Gentler walks

The cooperation goes back a long way. Consthum and Hosingen were already sharing nursery schooling in 1975, and the SISPOLO inter-communal syndicate, with Putscheid, still runs the schools, music school, services for older people and the Parc Hosingen campus itself. Putscheid and Hoscheid turned down a four-way merger in 2004, and Hoscheid only joined later, in May 2009.

Hoscheid also has a sound trail of about 6 km with listening points created by artists, and the commune’s arboretum covers 5 hectares, with 45 species of tree and shrub. The Escapardenne Lee Trail comes through too, finishing its second stage in Hoscheid and setting off from there towards Kautenbach. For cyclists, the commune waymarks a loop from Hoscheid church through Consthum, Kautenbach, Schlindermanderscheid and Unterschlinder. I cover it end to end in the guide to the Escapardenne.

Pool, buses and beds

Hosingen has AquaNat’Our, with more than 3,500 m² of water, a sauna and fitness centre, and two hours free with the LuxembourgPass. It’s the rainy-day plan for families. For a bed, STATEC counted one hotel or similar and two campsites in the commune in 2025, so I’d look first at hotels in Clervaux. The whole commune sits inside the Our Nature Park.

Where the bus does not go, a car does: compare car hire in Luxembourg before you arrive rather than at the desk.
