  • Hosingen is the main village and seat of the commune of Parc Hosingen.
  • It's on the Éislek plateau; its water tower, at 517 m, is the commune's highest point.
  • AquaNat'Our has more than 3,500 m² of pools and two free hours with the LuxembourgPass.
  • Reach it on the N7 or on bus route 174, free within the country.

Hosingen isn't a village you come to look at; it's one that sorts things out. I'd stop here on a wet day with children for the pool, or to set off on the PH 3 walk. For the real scenery, I'd drop down to Hoscheid and the Molberlee.

Before you go

What I would keep in mind

  1. 01 To save money

Two hours in the pool on the pass

AquaNat'Our gives two hours' free entry with the LuxembourgPass. It has a children's pool, a waterslide, an outdoor pool, a sauna and a wellness area.

  2. 02 My tip

    Open late, 8am to 9.30pm

In the week of 30 September 2026, AquaNat'Our opened daily from 8am to 9.30pm (from 7am on Tuesday). It's one of the few things in the north open into the evening.

  3. 03 Getting there

By bus towards Weiswampach and Troisvierges

Route 174 links Troisvierges, Wemperhardt, Weiswampach, Heinerscheid and Hosingen. Public transport in Luxembourg is free.

    Weiswampach

Hosingen is the administrative heart of a commune few people name correctly. Since 2011 it has been part of Parc Hosingen, alongside Consthum and Hoscheid, and it holds both the town hall, at 11 Op der Héi, and the «Parc Hosingen» school and sports campus that shares the commune’s name. In Luxembourgish it’s Housen, and that’s how it appears in council news.

Up on the plateau

The village sits high on the Éislek. The commune places its highest point at the Hosingen water tower, 517 metres, against 272 at Dasbourg-Pont down by the Our. The N7 runs through here towards Marnach and Clervaux, and since 2023 the commune has had a bypass with a tunnel under construction, the «contournement» of Hosingen. It’s a practical village rather than a pretty one, and there’s no harm in saying so.

AquaNat’Our, the rainy-day answer

What brings visitors is AquaNat’Our, at 1A Parc, which the commune bills as the largest sports and leisure centre in the north of the country. visitluxembourg describes more than 3,500 m² given over to water and wellness, with an indoor pool, outdoor pool, children’s pool, waterslide, non-swimmers’ pool, sauna and gym. On the timetable I checked as September 2026 closed, AquaNat’Our didn’t shut on any day and ran from 8am to 9.30pm, except Tuesday, when it started at 7am. The LuxembourgPass gets you in free for two hours, and if you’re touring the north as a family, it’s the best way I can think of to rescue a wet afternoon.

To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Clervaux on Booking.com and filter by area before price.

Walking and cycling from the village

Local trail PH 3 starts at the Parc Hosingen site and loops for 7.35 km, about two hours, with 180 metres of climbing and a moderate grade. The campus’s ecology centre is also the start of «Mam Robi duerch de Bësch», a woodland discovery trail on the commune’s list of walks, which I’d keep for small children.

For cyclists, the commune suggests a 24.5 km loop from Hosingen campsite through Pintsch, Lellingen and the Pënzebierg, plus a mountain-bike route down to Untereisenbach in the Our valley. With almost 250 metres between the plateau and the Our within the same commune, I’d hire an e-bike. For something more demanding, the Molberlee ridge and St Michel’s Chapel are in Hoscheid, in the same commune, and I cover them on the Parc Hosingen page.

Getting there and where to stay

Without a car, bus route 174 links Troisvierges, Wemperhardt, Weiswampach, Heinerscheid and Hosingen without a fare, as every Luxembourg bus does. STATEC counted just one hotel or similar in the commune in 2025, which is why I’d sleep in Clervaux and come up to Hosingen just for the pool or a walk. Coming from the UK, the simplest way north is the train from Luxembourg City to Clervaux, then the car or the regional buses listed on mobiliteit.lu.

To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Clervaux on Expedia and filter by area before price.

If you are short on time, see the best tours in Clervaux and pick one that fits your day.

Where the bus does not go, a car does: compare car hire in Luxembourg before you arrive rather than at the desk.
