Andorra events, the 2026 and 2027 calendar with official dates

Andorra has a fuller calendar than it looks from outside. There are mountain races, trade fairs, street festivals, the Ski World Cup and celebrations that only exist in the Pyrenees. I’ve put together everything with an official date, in order, and separately the yearly events that haven’t been announced yet, so you don’t book a flight around a guess.

Autumn 2026, date by date

Autumn starts strongly. From 9 to 11 October three events land in three parishes, the Andorra Trail in Escaldes-Engordany, the FesTac street arts festival in Sant Julià de Lòria and Frikiing Days in Encamp. From the 16th to the 18th the Andorra Dance Festival moves into Erts, and on the 17th Jorge Luengo brings his magic show to the congress centre in Andorra la Vella.

The autumn’s trade fair is the Fira d’Andorra, 23-25 October in the Parc Central. The following day, the 24th, the national museums service offers a free tour, with hot chocolate, of the church of Sant Serni de Nagol. Winter, the slopes and the World Cup

The three alpine resorts run their lifts from 4 December to 4 April, and Naturland gets going a week earlier, on 28 November. The big sporting event of the winter is the women’s alpine World Cup, giant slalom and slalom on 6-7 March 2027 on the Avet run at Soldeu. Christmas fills the parishes with markets, nativity scenes and the Three Kings’ parades, but the 2026 programme isn’t out yet. What’s known about each tradition is in Andorra at Christmas.

Spring and summer 2027

The first big dated event of 2027 away from the snow is the 44th Travessa d’Encamp, 28-30 May, with courses from 7 to 84 km starting in the Plaça dels Arínsols. In 2026 the Comú d’Encamp called it the oldest race in the country, and the whole weekend is in the Travessa d’Encamp.

Then come the fixed dates. Between May and October the capital’s old lanes fill with local produce at the Mercat de la Vall, held every first Saturday from 11:00 to 20:00. On the night of 23 June the fallas blaze in six parishes, every one except Ordino, which waits for the 28th, the eve of St Peter. In July and August every parish holds its festa major, and on 8 September the national day is celebrated at the Meritxell sanctuary. The religious calendar adds two quieter fixed dates. Canòlich, the mountain sanctuary above Sant Julià de Lòria, draws its pilgrimage on the last Saturday of May, and on the first Saturday of June Encamp brings offerings to an open-air Virgin by the path to Engolasters lake. Neither is a spectacle, but both show a side of Andorra most visitors never see.

What still has no date?

This is where people trip up, booking round an event that hasn’t even been called. On 29 September 2026 there were no official dates for the Christmas markets, the 2027 Carnival, the 2026 Shop in Andorra Festival, the 2027 festes majors or Pas de la Casa’s Hibernation Festival, whose seventh edition ran from 20 to 22 March 2026. As for Cirque du Soleil, which played from 10 July to 2 August 2026, no official source has announced a 2027 run.

How I’d pick an event

For a weekend, I’d look for one where several things overlap, like 9-11 October, when a race, a street festival and a fan fair are all within half an hour of each other by road. For a week, I’d choose a fixed, very local date, the fallas or Meritxell, and spend the rest of the time in the mountains. And for a sporting event, I’d book the hotel the moment the date is announced, because Soldeu and Encamp are small places and I wouldn’t gamble on waiting.
