All-inclusive and half-board Andorra, minus the small print

Take the phrase all-inclusive in Andorra with a pinch of salt. Most people searching for it picture a hotel where you pay once and put your wallet away, like a beach resort, and I haven’t found that with an official source behind it. Andorra Turisme sorts its accommodation into spa hotels, ski-in hotels, hostels, apartments and rural houses, but there’s no all-inclusive category. What there is, and plenty of it, is ways to lock almost everything in before you leave home.

What the resort sells direct

The clearest version of a packaged trip comes from Grandvalira’s online shop, which bundles nights and lift pass in a single purchase. For the opening weekend, 4 to 6 December 2026, it listed a three-star hotel with two nights and pass from €171, and an apartment for two with passes from €219. For three nights, 3 to 6 December, a four-star with pass started at €239.

Two caveats. The resort says those prices are updated every week, and its site isn’t consistent about units, sometimes saying per person and sometimes per person per night, in both the Spanish and English versions. Always look at the final total before assuming anything. One more perk of buying from the resort is that your passes can be waiting at hotel reception, as long as you book at least 24 hours ahead and your first ski day isn’t the day you arrive. Lessons, kids and paying later

If you’re learning, Grandvalira also bundles passes with lessons. Two days of pass and two of group lessons started at €203 per person on the opening weekend. With children aged 6 to 11, the Kids Free offer throws in a child’s pass for every adult who books accommodation and passes online, on dates in early December and from mid-March to closing day.

If you’d rather not pay everything upfront, the resort lets you book with 10% down as long as you’re at least 30 days out and spending over €300. The rest is taken seven days before cancellation charges start. Handy, but put the date in your diary.

What about food?

This is the real gap. There’s no official list of half-board or full-board hotels, so I won’t invent one. There are two cases with a source that come close. One is Grandvalira’s cabins at Grau Roig, the Domo Coma III and the Cabana Piolet, where a welcome aperitif, dinner and breakfast are served in the cabin. The other is Princesa Parc in the Arinsal valley, whose listing on La Massana’s tourism site promises you can do it all there, with varied food, a spa and activities, so you barely need to leave.

My view is that half-board makes more sense in Andorra than full board. At lunchtime you’ll be on the slopes, on a trail or in a borda, and you won’t head back to the hotel to eat. What’s nearly always left out

Three things rarely come in the package. The first is the tourist tax, charged per person per night from age 16, €1 to €3 depending on category, with 4.5% IGI on top and a seven-night cap. The second is getting to Andorra itself. There’s no airport in the country, so from Toulouse Andorra by Bus charges €36 single and €64 return, according to its website in September 2026. The third is insurance, and for British travellers this one matters. The UK government’s travel advice says your GHIC won’t cover you here, so pack a proper travel and medical policy.
