Andorra ski holidays, packaged or put together yourself

A ski trip comes with two big bills, the bed and the lift pass, which is why so many people look for a deal that rolls them into one. In Andorra the resort sells that deal itself, with public prices and written terms, so you’re not relying on a tour operator’s brochure to know what you’re comparing. Below I go through the deals, the hassle they spare you and the cases where I’d rather assemble the trip myself.

What’s in the resort’s shop

Grandvalira’s online shop puts nights and lift passes in the same basket. On the season’s first Friday to Sunday it showed a three-star, two nights plus pass, starting at €171, and for the longer Thursday to Sunday break, a four-star with three nights from €239. A self-catering flat for two came in at €219 for two nights and €266 for three. For beginners, there’s a bundle of two days on the slopes and two days of group lessons, from €203 a head.

Two health warnings before you do the maths. Grandvalira admits the figures are reviewed every week, so January won’t look like December. And the units wobble, with some deals quoted per person and others per person per night, in the English version as well as the Spanish. The only number I’d trust is the basket total.

What the bundle takes off your plate

What sells it to me is the logistics more than the price. Book your stay and pass a day in advance and the resort leaves the passes in an envelope at reception, so on the first morning you walk straight to the gondola. The only exception is skiing on arrival day, when you’ll need a ticket office or a machine.

Then there’s payment. Book more than a month ahead with a basket over €300 and you pay a tenth upfront, with the rest taken a week before cancellation fees start. Half-term, Christmas or Easter?

British families are tied to school holidays, so it’s worth lining them up with the deals. Kids Free, which gives one free pass to a child aged 6 to 11 for every adult booking a stay and passes online, runs from 4 to 23 December 2026 (three days minimum) and from 15 March to closing on 4 April 2027 (four days minimum). February half-term falls outside both windows, in the months Grandvalira names as its busiest, and group discounts don’t apply from 30 January to 28 February either. When would I book separately?

My rule is this. For a weekend, a first trip or anyone who’d rather not think about it, the bundle. For a full week, or when I already know which hotel I want to wake up in, out comes the calculator.

The reason is how the stand-alone pass is sold. The day pass changes price through the winter and costs up to 15% less online than at the window, and two or more consecutive days also open up Ordino Arcalís and Pal Arinsal. If your usual booking site turns up a good hotel beside a lift, adding a pass bought online can match or beat the package. Getting there and staying covered

There’s no airport in Andorra, so most British skiers fly into Toulouse or Barcelona and finish by coach. In September 2026, Andorra by Bus was selling Toulouse to Andorra at €36 one way and €64 return on its website. And don’t skimp on insurance, since the UK government says the GHIC won’t work here. Which village to sleep in

The resort groups its beds by sector. Canillo, El Tarter and Soldeu have beds a gondola ride from the pistes, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa have ski-in ski-out, and Encamp offers places about 500 metres’ drive from the Funicamp.
