Andorra nightlife, village by village

Andorra’s nightlife makes most sense as an extension of the ski day. The clubs and busiest bars are, nearly always, in the resort villages, and the party rises and falls with the season. Out of season you’re left with bars and long dinners in the capital. Here’s where everything is according to the official sources, plus a couple of rules worth learning before your first round.

Pas de la Casa, the border-town night

For anyone who really wants to go out, I’d point them to Pas de la Casa. Grandvalira describes it plainly as the sector with the liveliest nights and one of the most appealing to young people. You get slopes from the village, shops, and at dusk the floodlit Tubs run, with a night pass at €28.50.

It’s also home to the Hibernation Festival, which held its seventh edition from 20 to 22 March 2026. The 2027 edition has no date yet. To sleep there and stroll home, see hotels in Pas de la Casa.

Soldeu and El Tarter, where après turns into a night out

In the heart of Grandvalira, Soldeu is where, by the resort’s account, most of the bars that stretch après-ski into the night are found. A few minutes away, in the El Tarter car park, is L’Abarset, the resort’s electronic music venue, which has hosted DJs like Fatboy Slim and John Digweed. It opens for the season on 28 November, runs après-ski from 4 pm to 9 pm Sunday to Friday and until 10 pm on Saturdays, and on selected Fridays and Saturdays carries on with L’After, an indoor session with limited numbers until 2 am. There’s a VIP area for 170 with table booking.

What about Arinsal?

La Massana council calls Arinsal the liveliest village in Andorra, and I’ll quote it on that. It’s the base of Pal Arinsal’s Arinsal sector, with a gondola from the village, and in winter it has a smaller, friendlier resort scene than Grandvalira. Andorra la Vella, more bars than clubs

The capital does a different kind of night. A 2023 article by Grandvalira itself placed the bars and restaurants around Plaça Guillemó and the streets of L’Alzinaret, Cap del Carrer and Llacuna, adding that the clubs tend to be near the ski areas and leisure zones. It named specific venues, but it’s a few years old and I haven’t found a current official list, so I’d rather not send you to places that may have shut.

For a long dinner and a quiet nightcap, Andorra la Vella and Escaldes are fine. They also have a clear advantage, the late bus that runs from the capital to Escaldes one way and down to Sant Julià the other. Routes and timetables are on the Andorra buses page.

Ski under floodlights first

There’s a middle way I rather like, stretching the ski day into darkness and heading straight to dinner. In Pas de la Casa the Tubs run stays lit after 5 pm, weather permitting. Up at Peretol, the Sunset Park night snow park opens every day except Monday until 9 pm, with its own €26 pass. The details are in night skiing in Andorra.

Rules you really don’t want to break

No wiggle room here. The UK government notes that a drink on the pavement or in a square is against the law here, and that drugs carry zero tolerance. Driving over the limit can cost €600, a sixty-day ban and your car being impounded. On mountain roads I wouldn’t even consider it after one drink. The reassuring part is that the same advice describes street crime as rare, so the walk back to your hotel through a ski village isn’t really the worry. The road is.
