Zip lines in Andorra, from the 625 m Eclipse to treetop circuits

The phrase zip line covers very different things in Andorra. There’s a 550 m cable at 80 km/h over a high mountain lake, a treetop circuit for children and a twisting ride that feels closer to a fairground attraction. Before you book, it’s worth knowing which one suits you.

Mont Magic, the highest and fastest

The zip line at Mont Magic family park, in Grandvalira’s Canillo sector, runs from the Planells del Forn to the Forn lake. It’s 550 m long, flies up to 40 m above the ground and reaches 80 km/h. You can ride seated, lying flat or in tandem, an adult with a child of 20 to 35 kg. For me it’s the best in the country, because the high mountain setting and the lake at the end give it something the others lack.

In summer it runs inside the park. In 2026 it cost €20 seated, €26 lying flat and €36 in tandem, on top of the €41 Únic Pass, or one seated run was included in the €62 Adrenalina Pass. It keeps going in winter, from €21 seated, but Grandvalira requires a skier’s or pedestrian lift pass and you’re weighed first at the El Forn information point. Grandvalira calls it the longest in the Pyrenees on one page and the second longest on another, so I’ll stay out of that argument.

Naturland, the longest and the twistiest

Naturland, on the La Rabassa road in Sant Julià de Lòria, has three. The Eclipse, at 625 m, is the longest in the country and can be ridden in three positions. The Forestline, at the 1600 level, drops more than 500 m through the trees with bends, never more than 7 m up, for over two minutes. And the Airtrekk, a 13.5 m wooden ropes course, finishes with a 187 m zip line.

The maths here is simple. The Aventura Plus ticket includes the Eclipse, the Forestline and a ride on the Tobotronc, and costs €52 online (€55 at the gate), or €47 for juniors aged 7 to 13. If you were going for the Tobotronc anyway, the two zip lines cost you €10 more than the standard Aventura ticket.

Treetop circuits in Ordino and Engolasters

Tirolina Park is about 10 minutes from Ordino, over the Segudet gorge. It has 10 zip lines of up to 100 m and two levels, a red circuit of six and a black one with two longer, tougher lines. It opens from May to late November, so it’s one of the few options still running in autumn half-term.

Bosc Aventura, on the shore of Engolasters lake, mixes zip lines of different lengths with obstacles in the trees, for adults and children, from May to late September. Neither publishes prices on the official pages I read, so I won’t quote any. Both are the kind of place I’d keep for a half-day rather than build a trip around, but for a family staying in Ordino or Escaldes they’re close by and a good change from walking.

Which one with children?

For a first flight, Pal Arinsal’s line, designed for the whole family, from age 6, solo or tandem. With 7 to 13-year-olds who want more, I’d head to Naturland on the Aventura Plus. And with teenagers after speed, Mont Magic lying flat.

Watch the weight limits. At Mont Magic seated is 35 to 120 kg and lying flat 50 to 115 kg; below 35 kg it’s tandem with an adult. On Naturland’s Airtrekk the maximum is 100 kg. Families will find plenty more in Andorra with kids.

When each one opens

At the end of September 2026, Mont Magic has already closed for the summer (it ended on 13 September) and reopens with the ski season, from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. Naturland opens at weekends at the 1600 level from 17 October to 22 November 2026, and Tirolina Park until late November. In the depths of winter, Pal Arinsal also runs the Big Zip line at La Caubella. All these dates shift from year to year, so I’d check each operator’s website the week before you travel. British visitors should also make sure their policy includes adventure sports, because Andorra doesn’t accept the GHIC.
