Four 18-hole courses and a practice centre
Where to play golf in Luxembourg, and which course to pick
Luxembourg has four 18-hole courses listed by the national tourist board: Kikuoka at Canach, the Golf de Luxembourg at Belenhaff near Junglinster, the Golf Club Grand-Ducal at Senningerberg, opened in 1935, and Clervaux at Eselborn. In September 2026 green fees ran from €24 to €95 depending on the course and the day.

- There are four 18-hole courses with an official listing and one practice centre.
- Green fees ran from €24 to €95 in September 2026.
- The 1935 Grand-Ducal only takes green fees on weekdays.
- Clervaux has a hotel in the clubhouse and Kikuoka a Mercure on the estate.
If you only have time for one round, I'd play Kikuoka, for the course and because the bar and the hotel are on site. If you're heading north, Clervaux is the only course with a fixed weekday and weekend rate published, which makes planning easier.

What I would keep in mind
-
01 Most beautiful
A course in the Moselle hinterland
Kikuoka covers 120 hectares of gently rolling countryside at the Scheierhaff in Canach, with water hazards and almost 90 bunkers, and it hosted the European PGA Challenge Tour five years running.
Lenningen and Canach -
02 Money
Clervaux, the clearest price list
At Clervaux, 9 holes cost €55 on weekdays and €65 at weekends and on public holidays; 18 holes cost €85 and €95. Those were the rates on visitluxembourg in September 2026.

03 My tip
Grand-Ducal visitors: weekdays only
The country's oldest club takes green fees from Monday to Friday. The bar is open to all golfers, but the restaurant is for members.
Niederanven -
04 Worth the splurge
Stay by the 18th green
The Clervaux clubhouse includes a hotel, restaurant, bar and terrace, and Kikuoka has a Mercure on the estate with an indoor pool, sauna and gym.

05 To save money
Mondorf's Easy-Golf isn't a proper course
The Easy-Golf in the Mondorf-les-Bains spa park is a simple 18-hole game included in the LuxembourgPass. A game takes about an hour and a half, according to visitluxembourg, and suits children, not anyone after a real round.
Mondorf-les-Bains
My ranking, scored
The courses in the order I'd play them
My score out of 10 for a visitor playing one or two rounds, weighing the course, how easy it is to get a tee time without membership, facilities and published price. It's my opinion based on the official listings, not a sporting ranking.

Kikuoka Country Club (Canach)
The longest layout, designed by Iwao Uematsu, with water and almost 90 bunkers, a bar open to the public and a hotel on the estate. The club puts it 15 km from the airport and the city centre.
9.0 out of 10
-
Golf de Luxembourg (Belenhaff, Junglinster)
Three lakes, two wetland areas and a stream, 40 practice bays and lessons for beginners. It has the lowest minimum green fee of the four.
8.6 out of 10
-
Golf Clervaux (Eselborn)
The only course in the north and the most transparent on price, with a hotel in the clubhouse. It drops a little against the southern courses if you're based in the capital.
8.3 out of 10
-
Golf Club Grand-Ducal (Senningerberg)
The oldest, from 1935, with fairways lined by century-old trees about 7 km from the city. Green fees on weekdays only.

Lux Golf Center (Kockelscheuer)
Not a course but a place to try the game and practise, open in the evenings and in winter. Handy for beginners or a wet day.
6.5 out of 10
Nobody flies to Luxembourg the way they fly to the Algarve for a golf week, and I’d be upfront about that. What the country does offer is a small, compact set of courses. There are four 18-hole layouts listed by the national tourist board, three of them within 20 km of the capital, plus a practice centre at Kockelscheuer. That’s plenty for a long weekend with a round or two tacked on, and it’s easy to combine with a city break. This is how I’d rank them.
First choice, Kikuoka at Canach
The Kikuoka Country Club sits at the Scheierhaff near Canach, in the commune of Lenningen, just inland from the Moselle vineyards. The main course has 18 holes, 6,419 metres and a par of 72, with a separate 6-hole loop, a driving range and equipment hire. According to the club, it was designed by Iwao Uematsu across 120 hectares of lightly wooded rolling country, with several water hazards and almost 90 bunkers, and it hosted the European PGA Challenge Tour five years in a row.
What puts it top for me is the whole package. The Eagle Bar in the clubhouse is open to visitors, not just members, and there’s a Mercure hotel on the estate with an indoor pool, sauna and gym. In September 2026 the green fee ranged from €35 to €90. The reception opened 8:30 to 18:00 Tuesday to Saturday, until 17:00 on Mondays and until 16:00 on Sundays and public holidays, and the club warns it may not open at all in bad weather.
Belenhaff, good for mixed abilities
The Golf de Luxembourg is on the Belenhaff estate at Junglinster, 17 km from the capital. It’s 18 holes and 6,219 metres, par 72 or 73 depending on the tees, and the landscape is broken up by three lakes, two wetland areas and a stream. If you’re travelling with a partner who’s still learning, this is where I’d go. There are 40 practice bays, 10 of them covered, chipping and putting greens, and two professionals giving beginners’ lessons.
It has the widest price range, from €24 to €95, and the club restaurants are open to the public. In the week of 30 September 2026 it opened 9:00 to 17:00, with Wednesday running to 18:00.
To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Luxemburgo on Booking.com and filter by area before price.
Is the Grand-Ducal worth it as a visitor?
The Golf Club Grand-Ducal is the veteran. It was built in 1935 at Senningerberg, part of Niederanven, about 7 km from the city and close to Findel airport. The club talks about a classic 1930s design, with fairways lined by trees that are sometimes a hundred years old, which punish anything that isn’t straight. There are 18 holes, 5,802 metres off the men’s tees and 5,197 off the ladies’, SSS 71, and a further 6 short holes.
It’s worth it, with one catch. Green fees are only accepted from Monday to Friday, and the restaurant is members only, although the bar and the driving range are open to all golfers. The listed price ran from €30 to €75. If you’ve flown in for a weekend, skip it and book Kikuoka or Belenhaff.
Up north at Clervaux
The Golf Clervaux isn’t in the town but at Eselborn, 3 km out, surrounded by the green hills of the Éislek. It offers an 18-hole course of 6,129 metres, a 9-hole option, a short course of 3 holes at par 10, a practice area, a putting green and buggy hire. It’s also the only one of the four with a fixed price list on visitluxembourg. In September 2026 that meant €55 for 9 holes on weekdays and €65 at weekends and on public holidays, and €85 and €95 for 18 holes.
The clubhouse has a hotel, restaurant, bar and terrace. If you want to stay there, or compare it with the rest of the town, see my guide to hotels in Clervaux. I’d pair a round with an afternoon at the castle and The Family of Man exhibition.

For beginners and rainy days
The Lux Golf Center at Kockelscheuer, which has a Luxembourg City postal address, isn’t a course but a training and taster centre with a driving range and club hire, and it pitches itself as a place to play in the evening and through the winter. In the week of 30 September 2026 it opened 9:00 to 19:00, except Sunday from 10:00 and Monday from 11:00. In the city there’s also an indoor golf club, The 19th, with simulators, which visitluxembourg lists with 30% off for LuxembourgPass holders.
Don’t mistake the Easy-Golf in the spa park at Mondorf-les-Bains for a course. It’s a simple 18-hole game that’s free with the LuxembourgPass, nice with children for an hour and a half and nothing more.
A two-round plan
With two days I’d play Kikuoka and Belenhaff and sleep in Luxembourg City, since neither is more than 20 km away. If your trip falls on weekdays, I’d swap Belenhaff for the Grand-Ducal for the history. Clervaux is for anyone already touring the northern castles, because from the capital it’s a separate day out. The official listings don’t give bus stops by the courses, so for golf I’d hire a car.
If you are short on time, see the best tours in Luxemburgo and pick one that fits your day.
Where the bus does not go, a car does: compare car hire in Luxembourg before you arrive rather than at the desk.
If you still need a way in, check the best ticket deals to Luxembourg from where you are.

Frequently asked questions
How many golf courses are there in Luxembourg?
visitluxembourg lists four 18-hole courses, Kikuoka, the Golf de Luxembourg at Belenhaff, the Grand-Ducal at Senningerberg and Clervaux, plus a practice centre at Kockelscheuer. The Waldbillig council website also mentions a course between Christnach and Waldbillig.
How much is a green fee in Luxembourg?
In September 2026 the published green fees ranged from €24 at Belenhaff up to €95 at Belenhaff and Clervaux at their top rate. Kikuoka listed €35 to €90 and the Grand-Ducal €30 to €75.
Which golf course is closest to Luxembourg Airport?
The Golf Club Grand-Ducal at Senningerberg, which its listing places near Findel airport, about 7 km from the city. Kikuoka says it's 15 km from both the airport and the city centre.
Is there a hotel at Clervaux golf club?
Yes, the Hotel du Golf de Clervaux, in the clubhouse itself, with 23 rooms overlooking the course according to the club's website. To compare it with the other places to stay nearby, see my guide to hotels in Clervaux.
Can visitors play the Grand-Ducal course?
Yes, but only from Monday to Friday, when it takes green fees. The driving range and the bar are open to all golfers; the restaurant is for members.
Can you play golf in Luxembourg in winter?
The Lux Golf Center at Kockelscheuer bills itself as a place to play in the evening and in winter. On the courses, Kikuoka warns that its reception may close in bad weather, so I'd ring ahead.
