Leptos five-star in Peyia

Coral Beach, the big resort on Coral Bay

Leptos Coral Beach is a five-star hotel with 421 rooms and 842 beds in Coral Bay, in Peyia municipality, according to the official list of August 2026, which gives its rating as indicative. It's one of the island's largest, and its website describes 300 metres of sandy beach and a small private harbour.

  • Five stars in Coral Bay, with 421 rooms.
  • Around 300 metres of sand and a little private harbour.
  • Kids' club for ages 3 to 12 and a crèche from 6 months.
  • Pets of any kind are not allowed.

I'd choose it for the beach and for having Akamas on the doorstep, not for nightlife. It works very well for families with children over three, but if you travel with a dog you'll need somewhere else, as it doesn't take pets.

What I would keep in mind

  1. 01 Most beautiful

    A harbour inside the hotel

Next to its Limani taverna, the resort has a tiny harbour with fishing boats, bougainvillea and palms. It's the most photogenic corner of the grounds.

  2. 02 My tip

A bus stop at the gate

There's no shuttle, but the hotel says a bus stop opposite the entrance serves Paphos. For the airport, pre-book a taxi.

  3. 03 Getting there

    24 km from the airport

The hotel gives 24 km to Paphos airport and 135 km to Larnaca. If you can choose your flight, Paphos saves you nearly two hours on the road.

  4. 04 Worth the splurge

    Dinner without the kids

One of its fine-dining restaurants is adults-only. If you're on a family holiday and want an evening to yourselves, that's your plan.

What I would book

On the official list it isn’t plain Coral Beach but Leptos Coral Beach, after the group that runs it. It’s the big resort on Coral Bay and one of the hotels with most beds anywhere on the island. Here’s what the register says, what its website offers and who I think it suits. For the rest of the bay, see Coral Bay hotels.

Big, and five-star

Paphos’s official list for August shows five stars, 421 rooms and 842 beds, with its address in Coral Bay and Peyia as the municipality. It’s marked P, so the rating is a guide while the new hotel law is applied. With 842 beds it ranks among the seven largest establishments in Cyprus, by my count of the area lists. The other hotels in that bracket are covered in luxury hotels in Cyprus.

Beach and harbour

The hotel describes itself as sitting on about 300 metres of sand, at the end of the coast that leads up to the Akamas peninsula. The look mixes whitewashed walls with timber, set in broad gardens, and it has one feature that’s unusual for a resort, a little harbour of its own with fishing boats beside its Limani taverna. The main pool is lagoon-style, and a second activity pool has two slides watched over by a lifeguard.

Children, meals and practicalities

The kids’ club takes children from 3 to 12, and there’s a crèche for babies from 6 months to 3 years, in the morning and early afternoon, booked ahead and charged separately. Babysitting needs three days’ notice and runs for at least two hours. Restaurants include a buffet with theme nights, Asian cooking, a family-friendly Italian and an adults-only fine-dining room. Room service runs from six in the morning until midnight, and the gym is free for guests. Pets aren’t allowed. Parking is free and there’s no shuttle, though the Paphos bus stops outside the gate.

The neighbours

Further north, at Agios Georgios, is the Cap St Georges hotel, newer and with a waterpark of its own. Towards Paphos, in Chloraka, you’ll find Azia Resort, with adults-only rooms, and the Leonardo Laura Beach hotel, simpler and with a waterpark.

If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Coral Bay and choose by the reviews.

My take

It’s a good fit if you want a sandy beach with nature close by, with Akamas and the northern coves a short drive away, rather than strolling Kato Paphos every evening. For that you’ll be relying on the bus or a car. Flying in, Paphos airport is 24 km away by the hotel’s reckoning, and for getting about without a car, see buses in Cyprus. Administratively, Coral Bay is part of the municipality of Peyia.
