- A confirmed four-star in Limassol.
- 278 rooms with direct beach access.
- Between the two airports, 40 to 45 minutes from each.
For a Limassol stay mixing beach and city without a car, I find it a practical base. Don't expect a luxury resort; it's a big four-star on the sea, on a street set back from the noise.

What I would keep in mind

01 Getting there
Between the two airports
The hotel gives 58 km to Paphos airport and 65 km to Larnaca, roughly 40 and 45 minutes by car, and can arrange a pickup on request.

02 My tip
Away from the main drag
Its website places it in Limassol's tourist area but back from the busiest street. If bar music keeps you awake, that's a plus.

03 To save money
Bus rather than taxi
The hotel points out that regular bus services are within reach. To get to the centre or the old harbour, it's far cheaper than a taxi.

What I would book
Limassol has a long hotel strip running east from the centre, and Atlantica Miramare stands near its start, in Germasogeia. It’s a big four-star with the beach in front and the city within easy reach. Below you’ll find the register’s details, the website’s claims and the traveller I’d point to it. If you’re weighing up areas, begin with Limassol hotels.
Confirmed on the register
Tourism’s Limassol register of 4 August awards it four stars, 278 rooms and 556 beds at 11 Amerikanas Street. It carries the L, meaning its licence and rating are settled, which isn’t that common along this coast. It belongs to the Atlantica chain, the same one behind Aphrodite Hills near Paphos.
What it offers
Its website stresses two things, the beach and the city. There’s direct access to the sand, with sunbeds along the shore, pools by the sea and beach activities during the day. Rooms run from standard to suites with a whirlpool bath, many with sea views. There are also rooms for meetings and conferences, and the hotel suggests April to June as the best time for Limassol, with September good for nightlife and local festivals. The hotel insists that, although it’s in the tourist zone, it sits back from the main street, which you’ll appreciate at night.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Atlantica Miramare Beach Limassol before prices climb.
Getting there
Limassol lies between the island’s two airports. The hotel reckons 58 km and about 40 minutes to Paphos, and 65 km and about 45 minutes to Larnaca, and offers a pickup on request. It also mentions regular buses nearby. The ways to arrive from each airport, by shuttle or taxi, are in airport transfers, and for getting around town see buses in Cyprus.
What I’d compare it with
If you’d like something smaller and more urban, the Alasia hotel is a boutique hotel in central Limassol. Further east, along the Amathus coast, are the five-stars, such as the Amathus Beach hotel, and a quieter four-star, the Elias Beach hotel.
If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Limassol and choose by the reviews.
My verdict
To me it’s a good base for anyone wanting the beach in the morning and the city in the afternoon without relying on a car. It doesn’t have the facilities of the Amathus coast resorts, but it doesn’t claim to, and the confirmed licence gives some reassurance about its rating. For a couple’s break with strolls round the old town and harbour, it’s well placed. For families after kids’ clubs and slides, I’d look first at the big hotels to the east, which have more for children and more garden space. One practical point, Limassol’s hotel strip runs for kilometres, so check the exact address of any hotel you compare it with. From here, the villages and wineries of the Limassol district are a short drive away.
A car frees you from timetables: search car hire in Limassol on DiscoverCars and compare companies.
