Class C tourist apartments
Pagona, family-run apartments in Kato Paphos
Pagona isn't strictly a hotel. The official list of August 2026 records it as class C tourist apartments, with 65 units and 142 beds at 17 Ikarou Street, Kato Paphos, and the class is indicative. A family has run it for more than 35 years, according to its website.

- Class C tourist apartments in Kato Paphos.
- 65 units with kitchen, air conditioning and balcony.
- Pool, children's pool and jacuzzi.
- About 12 km from Paphos airport.
For a family that wants to cook, get more space for the money and have the mosaics and harbour within walking distance, I think it's a sensible pick. Don't expect resort facilities, or a 24-hour front desk.

01 To save money
Your own kitchen
Every apartment has a fitted kitchen, air conditioning, wifi and a balcony. Over a week, breakfast and the odd dinner at home add up to real savings.

What I would book
Plenty of people search for Pagona as a hotel and find something else, an old-school family apartment complex in Kato Paphos. That isn’t a flaw, just a different kind of holiday. Here’s what the official register says, what it offers and who it suits. If self-catering appeals, I go into it properly in apartments in Cyprus.
Class C, not stars
On the ministry’s August list for Paphos, Pagona sits among the tourist apartments, class C, with 65 units and 142 beds at 17 Ikarou Street. Like most of the register, it carries the P for classification in progress, so the letter is a guide. Apartments are graded A, B and C, and C is the most basic of the three, worth knowing before you compare prices with a hotel on the same street.
What you get
Its website lists 65 studios and one and two-bedroom apartments, each with a fitted kitchen, air conditioning, wifi, private bathroom and a large balcony. There’s a big outdoor pool, a children’s pool and a jacuzzi, plus a pool bar and restaurant. It describes itself as a family business more than 35 years old. Rooms are cleaned daily, though towels and sheets are changed every three or four days, and reception lends out three-pin plug adaptors. Two house rules worth knowing, the air conditioning switches off when the balcony door is open, and non-resident visitors are allowed between 7am and 9pm.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Pagona Hotel Apartments Paphos before prices climb.
Location and getting about
It’s on a side street in Kato Paphos, 1 km from Kings Avenue Mall and 1.4 km from the mosaics archaeological park, according to the property. No more than fifteen minutes’ walk away you’ll find a supermarket, launderette, cash machine, post office and the route 612 bus stop. The airport is about 12 km and 25 minutes away. For getting round town, buses in Cyprus cover Kato Paphos.
Similar alternatives
If you like the idea of cooking but want a step up, under 300 metres away are the King Jason apartments, graded A. Towards the Tombs of the Kings is Capital Coast Resort, also class A and on the seafront. And if you’d rather have a half-board hotel right on the water, look at the Alexander the Great hotel.
If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Pafos and choose by the reviews.
My take
I see it for families and longer stays on a sensible budget, people who value a kitchen and a central spot more than a spa. Reception isn’t staffed round the clock, so if you land in the small hours you’ll need to warn them and arrange your arrival. The options are in airport transfers. The harbour of Kato Paphos, with Paphos Castle at its tip, is the evening stroll in this part of town.
