Hotels in Coral Bay and Peyia
Coral Bay lies in the municipality of Peyia, north of Paphos. The official list of August 2026 places hotels such as Leptos Coral Beach and Louis Cali there, both five-star, and the general list adds five-star Cap St. Georges. Peyia had 6,945 residents in 2021, according to CYSTAT.

- Coral Bay is in Peyia municipality, north of Paphos.
- It has three five-star hotels, counting Cap St. Georges.
- There are several class A hotel apartments.
- It's about 19 km from Paphos Airport.
For beach time with the Akamas close by, minus the bustle of Kato Paphos, Coral Bay strikes me as the best base. Without a car, though, you'll be fairly limited.

03 My tip
Better with a car
Coral Bay is about 19 km in a straight line from Paphos Airport, and for the Akamas or the Laona villages a car is the practical choice.

What I would book
Coral Bay is the big beach north of Paphos, and for many it’s the ideal base for combining the sea with the Akamas peninsula. Since its accommodation sits within the official Paphos list, I filtered the Deputy Ministry of Tourism’s August 2026 register by address for Peyia and Coral Bay. Here’s what turns up. For the full picture, start with where to stay in Cyprus.
A bay within Peyia
Coral Bay isn’t a municipality but the coast of Peyia, which had 6,945 residents in 2021 according to CYSTAT. That’s why it has no list of its own and appears in the Paphos one. Filtering by address gives about a dozen places, including two five-star hotels, Leptos Coral Beach, the largest with 421 rooms, and Louis Cali. A little further north, in Agios Georgios at Peyia, Cap St. Georges is also five-star, though it only appears on the general list.
Hotels and apartments
Beyond the big names there are four-star hotels such as Ascos Beach and Thalassa, and several hotel apartment complexes, three of them class A, Kapetanios Aqua, Corallia Beach and Panareti’s Coral Bay. For families or longer stays, the apartments look the most practical option to me. As elsewhere in Cyprus, many carry a P, so the rating is indicative.
On the road from Paphos, in Kissonerga, you’ll pass Queen’s Bay and Theo Sunset Bay, which the list places in that municipality. I cover them with the rest in Paphos hotels.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Coral Bay before prices climb.
The two five-stars with their own guide
Of the three five-star hotels, two have a page of their own here. The Coral Beach hotel is the one the register lists as Leptos Coral Beach, with 842 beds, a lagoon-style pool and a little harbour of fishing boats by its tavern. The Cap St Georges hotel, out at Agios Georgios, is newer, every room faces the sea and it has its own waterpark a short walk away. I’d pick the first for sand and bay life, and the second if you’d rather have the quiet at the edge of Akamas.
Who it suits
Coral Bay works for anyone after beach time and peace without giving up day trips. It lies north of Kato Paphos, about 19 km in a straight line from the airport. From here you’re close to the sea caves at Peyia, the Avakas Gorge and Lara beach and its turtles. Without a car you won’t get much beyond the bay, so for Akamas I’d hire one, as explained in car hire in Cyprus. If you like the idea of staying even closer to nature, see Polis and Latchi hotels.
If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Coral Bay and choose by the reviews.
Getting there and around
From Paphos airport, about 19 km away in a straight line, the practical way to reach the bay is a hire car or a taxi. Once in Paphos, you catch the 615 at the Tombs of the Kings station, running every 10 to 15 minutes and, in the April to November season, at night as well. Route 616b carries on to the sea caves and Agios Georgios. The bay itself, with its beach and the Maa-Palaiokastro site, is covered in the Coral Bay guide, and fares are in buses in Cyprus. For a tent or caravan, the bay’s campsite is listed in camping in Cyprus.
A car frees you from timetables: search car hire in Paphos on DiscoverCars and compare companies.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Coral Bay before prices climb.
