Golden Coast is a four-star hotel with 200 rooms and 400 beds at 64 Pinias Street, Paralimni, according to the official list of August 2026, which gives its rating as indicative. It faces Louma beach, with its shallow water, ten minutes' walk from the Pernera area.

- A four-star facing Louma beach in Protaras.
- Kids' club, a pool with a slide and padel.
- All-inclusive with local drinks.
For a family with young children I think it's a very sensible choice, thanks to the shallow beach and the kids' club. If you want nightlife or shops at the door, Protaras's main strip is a bus ride away.

where to stay in Cyprus
What I would book
North of Protaras, where the resort reaches Pernera, the coast quietens down and shallow beaches appear. Golden Coast sits there, a four-star aimed above all at families. I go over what the official list shows, its facilities and why I see it as a sensible pick with young children. The area’s alternatives are in Protaras hotels.
What the Paralimni list shows
The official Paralimni register of 4 August records it as a four-star hotel with 200 rooms and 400 beds at 64 Pinias Street. Its rating carries the P, so it’s provisional until the new classification is applied. The hotel also hosts weddings and meetings, so in some weeks you may share the gardens with a celebration.
Beach and pools
In front is Louma beach, with fine sand and shallow water sheltered by an artificial breakwater, which the hotel highlights for families with small children. Inside there’s an outdoor pool set in gardens, with a children’s pool and a slide, and at Aegeospas, its wellness area, an indoor pool with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, plus a gym and massages. To keep moving there’s padel, tennis and activities with instructors during the day. The hotel says its entertainment team fills the day with music, games, singing and competitions, worth bearing in mind if what you’re after is peace and quiet. The indoor pool is open to all guests in April and the second half of October, when the sea is cooler.
To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Golden Coast Beach Hotel Protaras on Expedia and filter by area before price.
Children and meals
Children aged 4 to 12 can join the kids’ club, there’s a playground in the garden, a menu of children’s favourites and high chairs in both restaurants. All-inclusive covers the three meals, snacks at the pool bar from 10:30 to 12:00 and from 15:30 to 17:00, and local drinks with or without alcohol. On half board you have breakfast and choose lunch or dinner each day.
Practicalities
Check-in is at 14:00 and late check-out costs €60 until 18:00. Parking is free, reception hires out bikes and there are eight accessible rooms. Pernera, with shops and bars, is ten minutes away on foot, and Protaras’s main strip is ten minutes by a €1.50 bus, the hotel says; I cover the network in buses in Cyprus. From Larnaca airport, a taxi takes about 45 minutes.
If you are short on time, see the best tours in Protaras and pick one that fits your day.
Neighbours and my view
A little further north, on its own cove, is the Crystal Springs hotel, and towards central Protaras the Anastasia Beach hotel and Tsokkos Gardens. For me Golden Coast is one of the best options in Protaras for families with young children, for its beach and its clear-cut all-inclusive. If you fancy a change of beach, Fig Tree Bay is the best known in Protaras. I compare the rest in Protaras beaches.
Where the bus does not go, a car does: compare car hire in Protaras before you arrive rather than at the desk.
