- Ayia Napa Sculpture Park covers 20,000 m² above the sea.
- It holds work by more than 50 artists, added to every year by a symposium.
- There's a cactus and succulent park next door.
- The Love Bridge is right opposite.
I'd go at sunset, as the region itself recommends, and combine it with the Love Bridge right in front. In summer heat, bring a cap and water, as it's an open park on bare rock.

What I would keep in mind
-
01 Most beautiful
An open-air museum that keeps growing
The works come from the international sculpture symposium the municipality of Ayia Napa holds every year, so the park never stops growing.
-
02 Most beautiful
Cacti and succulents
Beside the sculptures, the park of Mediterranean plants, cacti and succulents aims to become the largest collection in the region, according to Visit Famagusta.
-
03 Getting there
The Love Bridge, opposite
The natural arch of the Love Bridge sits on the shore directly in front of the sculpture park.

04 My tip
Best at sunset
Visit Famagusta singles out sunset as the best time, when the low light turns the landscape into a stage for the works.
What I would book
The sculpture park is the cultural side of the Ayia Napa coast, an open-air museum on the rocks with the sea as a backdrop. It doesn’t take long and it fits well with what’s around it. Here’s what you’ll find. The general guide is Ayia Napa.
An open-air museum
According to Visit Famagusta, the local tourism portal, the park sits where Cape Greco Avenue meets Kryou Nerou and covers 20,000 m² of natural landscape with panoramic views. It brings together sculptures by renowned artists from around the world, more than 50 according to the same website, and the works come from the international sculpture symposium the municipality of Ayia Napa holds every year, so the collection keeps growing.
The website presents it as the first of its kind in the region and as an oasis of culture for the whole of Famagusta district.
The works and the setting
What I like most is the way the pieces, nearly all in pale stone, blend with the scrub, the rocks and the blue of the sea. Visit Famagusta recommends going at sunset, when the low light turns the landscape into a dramatic stage for the works. Under a midday summer sun, this open park on the rock is tough going, so bring water and a cap.
If you are staying the night, see the best hotel deals in Ayia Napa for your dates: the well-placed rooms go fast.
The cactus garden
Next door lies the park of Mediterranean plants, cacti and succulents, which according to Visit Famagusta displays a wide range of species and aims to become the largest collection in the region. It’s a good add-on if you’re travelling with children or interested in dry-climate plants.
More to see on Kryou Nerou
On the same street, at number 20 Kryou Nerou, is the Ammochostos Motor Museum. According to Visit Famagusta it holds 105 exhibits, including 70 classic cars, 29 motorbikes and two historic tractors, and it opens daily from 10:00 to 22:00, with tickets at €12 for adults, €10 for seniors and €6 for under-12s, free for under-4s. I see it as a good plan for the hottest hours of the day.
Not far away, on the eastern side of town and on a rocky hill, the chapel of Agios Epifanios was raised over the ruins of an older one and is dedicated to the Byzantine bishop of Salamis. From there you look over Paliochori, a Byzantine settlement wrecked during the Arab raids between 632 and 964. Route 202 has a stop beside the church.
So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Ayia Napa Sculpture Park on GetYourGuide.
What’s nearby and getting there
Right in front, on the shore, is the Love Bridge, a natural rock arch. Carry on east and you reach the Ayia Napa sea caves and Cape Greco.
From the centre you can walk along the coast. By bus, OSEA’s circular route 202 passes Kryou Nerou, Ammos tou Kambouri and the Love Bridge, for €2 a daytime trip. Neither opening hours nor prices appear in any official source I can cite, so I leave them out.
If you would rather go at your own pace, see the car hire deals in Ayia Napa: the earlier you book, the more cars are left to choose from.
If you are staying the night, see the best hotel deals in Ayia Napa for your dates: the well-placed rooms go fast.
