Where to stay in Cyprus
Where to stay in Cyprus with children
The most family-focused hotels in Cyprus cluster around Paphos, Chloraka, Ayia Napa, Protaras and the east of Limassol. King Evelthon, Leonardo Laura Beach and Cap St. Georges have their own waterparks, the Four Seasons runs a crèche all year and Golden Coast sits on a shallow beach sheltered by a breakwater.

- King Evelthon, Leonardo Laura and Cap St. Georges have waterparks.
- Almyra, Anassa and Columbia take babies from four months.
- Check the club's age range and the beach before the star rating.
With young children, I'd check three things before the star rating, the kids' club's minimum age, whether there's a crèche and whether the beach is sandy and shallow. A huge resort with slides isn't always what a three-year-old enjoys most.

What I would keep in mind
-
01 Worth the splurge
A waterpark on site
King Evelthon has a park across the road that guests use for free, with seven big slides, a lazy river and a children's area with a pirate ship.

02 My tip
Check the club's age range
It varies a lot, from Almyra's Mythos, from four months, to Cavo Maris's Turtle Kids Club, for 4 to 12-year-olds. For babies, look for a crèche.

03 To save money
Self-catering apartments
For longer stays, Kefalos Beach, an A-class tourist village, offers seafront apartments with kitchens and optional all-inclusive, according to its website.

What I would book
Travelling with children changes everything I want from a hotel. Stars matter less to me than the kids’ club’s minimum age, the crèche and the kind of beach. Cyprus has plenty of family hotels, but they vary a lot, and the official register says nothing about any of this, so I went to each hotel’s own website. Here they are, sorted by what they offer children. Still choosing a base? Then where to stay in Cyprus comes first, and for things to do beyond the hotel, Cyprus with kids.
Hotels with a waterpark
It’s what older children ask for first. In Chloraka, just north of Paphos, King Evelthon Hotel has its own waterpark just over the road, free for guests, with seven big slides, a lazy river and a toddlers’ zone built around a pirate ship. Close by, Leonardo Laura Beach Hotel is built around its own park, with a wave pool, plus a club for 3 to 12-year-olds and another for teenagers. Further north in Peyia, Cap St. Georges includes its waterpark and its 3 to 12 kids’ club with every room. And in Limassol, Amathus Beach has a family pool with slides and a floating waterpark out at sea.
Kids’ clubs and crèches
The difference here is age. The Mythos club at Almyra Hotel in Kato Paphos, shared with Annabelle and Anassa, takes children from four months in age groups and offers babysitting. Columbia Beach in Pissouri has a crèche from 4 months to 3 years and a club for 4 to 12-year-olds. Coral Beach in Coral Bay has a crèche from 6 months and a club for 3 to 12s. Olympic Lagoon Paphos runs three clubs, one for little ones, a football school and a teens’ club. And Four Seasons Limassol is one of the few with a crèche open all year, for 3 to 8-year-olds, plus a club for 7 to 13s at Easter, in July and August and in other school holidays.
If you are staying the night, see the best hotel deals in Protaras for your dates: the well-placed rooms go fast.
The beach matters too
With toddlers, a sandy, shallow beach is worth more than an extra pool. In Protaras, Golden Coast Hotel looks onto Louma, a fine-sand beach where a breakwater keeps the water shallow and calm, a point the hotel makes a lot of for families. Further south, Cavo Maris runs a club for 4 to 12-year-olds six days a week and has family rooms. In Ayia Napa, Nissi Beach Resort, on Nissi beach, has a 4 to 12 club with a daily programme. There’s more by area in Protaras hotels.
What the extras cost
Few hotels publish prices, but some do list their children’s services, and they’re worth adding to the budget. At Almyra, the Mythos club costs from €45 for half a day and babysitting from €18 an hour. At Columbia Beach, babysitting starts at 17:30 and costs €20 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and the crèche must be booked the day before. At Azia Resort, under-12s pay half price at the buffet and à la carte restaurants. All figures are from their websites in early October 2026.
So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Protaras on GetYourGuide.
Apartments for longer stays
For ten days or more, I’d consider an apartment with a kitchen inside a complex. Kefalos Beach, an A-class tourist village in Paphos, offers seafront apartments with a pool and optional all-inclusive. Pagona, in Kato Paphos, is an old-school family apartment complex with a children’s pool. More options in apartments in Cyprus.
How I’d choose
With a baby, a hotel with a crèche from four or six months. With children aged 4 to 10, an age-banded club and a calm beach, and here Protaras and Ayia Napa feel easiest. With older children or teenagers, an on-site waterpark and a youth club, which points to Chloraka and Peyia. And always check the club’s dates on the hotel’s website, because many only open in season, like Grecian Park’s, from July to October, which won’t help over the February half-term. Out of season, the year-round crèche at the Four Seasons and a hotel with an indoor heated pool become far more valuable than any slide.
If you would rather go at your own pace, see the car hire deals in Protaras: the earlier you book, the more cars are left to choose from.
