Five stars on Chloraka Bay
King Evelthon, the waterpark resort of Chloraka
King Evelthon is a five-star hotel with 375 rooms and 768 beds on Chloraka Avenue, just north of Paphos, according to the official list of August 2026, which gives its rating as indicative. Its website highlights a waterpark across the road that guests use free and as often as they like.

- Five stars in Chloraka, with 375 rooms.
- A waterpark that's free for guests.
- Direct access to the beach on Chloraka Bay.
- Kids' club, three pools and a spa.
If your children are old enough for the slides, a free waterpark changes the maths of the holiday. For a couple wanting calm, the atmosphere and the sheer size count against it.

Slides with no ticket
Seven big slides, a lazy river and a children's splash zone with a pirate ship, free and unlimited for guests, according to the hotel.

02 My tip
Check the waterpark dates
Its waterpark page gives a May to October season, 10:00 to 18:00, while another hotel page says April to October. In April, confirm first.

03 Getting there
Car hire at reception
There's a car hire desk in the hotel. For Coral Bay, 8 km away, or Akamas, having a car for a few days pays off.

What I would book
You pick some hotels for their rooms and others for their surroundings. King Evelthon belongs to the second group, because its big selling point is a waterpark across the road that guests use without paying. Below are its register details, its facilities and my view on who should book. To place it among the rest, see Paphos hotels.
Big, and in Chloraka
The August Paphos accommodation list gives it five stars, 375 rooms and 768 beds on Chloraka Avenue. Marked P, its rating is only a guide for now. By beds it’s one of the largest five-stars in the area, and the register lists it with the website of the Tsokkos group, which owns it. The island’s other five-stars are covered in luxury hotels in Cyprus.
The waterpark
The hotel describes seven big slides, including ones called Space Hole and Black Hole, plus a lazy river, a free-form pool with a jacuzzi and a splash zone with a pirate ship and four children’s slides. For guests it’s free and unlimited. Its waterpark page gives a May to October season, daily from 10:00 to 18:00, although another page on the hotel’s site has the season starting in April. If you’re travelling in April, ask.

The rest of the resort
Within the grounds there are three pools, one for children and one with direct access from certain rooms, two restaurants, one buffet and one à la carte, a pool bar and a beach bar. Every room has a balcony and sea or garden views. Add a spa with massages and sauna, a gym, a tennis court, water sports, a kids’ club with playground and a car hire desk. The hotel gives direct access to the beach on Chloraka Bay, 5 km to Paphos harbour and 8 km to Coral Bay, and it lists free parking and a 24-hour reception.
The same group, Tsokkos, runs the Anastasia Beach hotel in Protaras and the Dome Beach hotel in Ayia Napa, at the other end of the island.
Around it
A couple of kilometres north on the same avenue is the Leonardo Laura Beach hotel, another resort with slides and all-inclusive. Next to that sits Azia Resort, much calmer, and beyond Coral Bay is the Cap St Georges hotel, with a waterpark of its own.
So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Pafos on GetYourGuide.
My take
For a family with children aged roughly six to fourteen, a free waterpark at the hotel door is a strong argument, because it saves buying tickets to a commercial park every time the kids want to go back. For a couple, I find it too big and too family-focused. Other hotels with a waterpark or kids’ club are in family hotels in Cyprus. If you stay here, hire a car for at least a couple of days, and read my car hire in Cyprus advice first. From Chloraka, Kato Paphos lies to the south and Peyia, with the Akamas peninsula beyond it, to the north, so it works as a base for both town and nature.
If you would rather go at your own pace, see the car hire deals in Paphos: the earlier you book, the more cars are left to choose from.
