Golf in Cyprus, five courses between Paphos and Limassol
Golf in Cyprus centres on Paphos, with four well-known courses, Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley, Minthis and Eléa, and is rounded off by Limassol Greens on the edge of Limassol. They bear the names of designers such as Cabell Robinson, Donald Steel and Nick Faldo, and several look out to sea or towards Aphrodite's Rock.

- Cyprus has five golf courses with official listings, four of them in Paphos.
- Aphrodite Hills, from 2002, looks over the coast of the Aphrodite myth.
- Minthis dates from 1994 and Eléa was designed by Nick Faldo.
- Limassol has Limassol Greens, an 18-hole course.
If I played only one course, I'd choose Aphrodite Hills for its setting above the coast of the Aphrodite myth. For something different, Minthis, inland and beside a 12th-century monastery. And if staying in Paphos without wanting to drive, Eléa, five minutes away.

What I would keep in mind
-
01 Most beautiful
Golf beside a monastery
The Minthis course winds past a 12th-century monastery with views of the Troodos, according to the Paphos tourism website.
Troodos Mountains -
02 Worth the splurge
Facing the myth
Aphrodite Hills, 6,289 metres long, overlooks the spot where legend says Aphrodite rose from the sea. Cabell Robinson designed it and it opened in 2002.

03 My tip
Five minutes from Paphos
Eléa, at Yeroskipou, is a five-minute drive from Paphos and a par 71 designed by Nick Faldo, according to the Paphos tourism website.

What I would book
Here I focus on what the courses and the Paphos tourism website publish, and on how I’d choose depending on where you stay, without passing judgement on greens. What I do see clearly is that Cyprus packs courses with very different settings into a small area.
Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley
Aphrodite Hills, at Kouklia, opened in 2002, and the Paphos tourism website presents it as the first leisure and golf development of its kind in Cyprus. It is a 6,289-metre championship course designed by Cabell Robinson, with Bermuda grass fairways, testing bunkers and tiered greens, and it overlooks the spot where, legend says, Aphrodite rose from the sea. There is a large practice area with two big putting greens and a short-game zone. The Paphos tourism website adds a large clubhouse and presents it as a course for golfers of all standards and ages. The resort has its own page, Aphrodite Hills. Close by, also at Kouklia, Secret Valley lays its fairways in a wooded valley with sea views, with Aphrodite’s Rock overlooking the course. Its listing on the Paphos tourism website showed opening hours of 6:30 to 21:00 on 4 October 2026, which I would confirm before going.
Minthis, inland
Minthis was designed by Donald Steel in 1994 and renovated by Mackenzie & Ebert. The Paphos tourism website describes a beautiful, demanding course that winds past a 12th-century monastery, with views of the Troodos Mountains. It is the odd one out of the five, played inland rather than facing the sea.

Eléa, by Paphos
Eléa is at Yeroskipou, five minutes’ drive from Paphos. It is a par 71 designed by Nick Faldo that works in natural features of the land and has views of the Mediterranean. For anyone staying in Paphos who doesn’t want to drive far, it is the handiest, and its listing gives the club’s phone number, +357 26 202 004.
Limassol Greens
In Limassol, the Limassol Greens website describes an 18-hole championship course in a natural landscape with ponds, olive and carob trees, a few miles from the city’s seafront and 35 minutes from the two international airports. It’s the choice if you’re based on the Limassol coast.
So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Paphos on GetYourGuide.
Prices and booking
None of the official listings I checked gives green fees, so I don’t give them either. The sensible thing is to ask each course, as they publish their phone numbers.
How I’d combine it
I’d stay in Paphos, play two courses and keep a day for the coast, with one of the Cyprus beaches or some water sports in Cyprus. If you’re travelling with children, the water parks in Cyprus keep the rest of the family busy.
If you would rather go at your own pace, see the car hire deals in Paphos: the earlier you book, the more cars are left to choose from.
