Where to stay in Cyprus
Adults-only hotels in Cyprus
Cyprus's official register doesn't say which hotels are adults-only, so you have to check each hotel's own website. Three five-star hotels sell themselves as entirely child-free, Amavi and Asimina Suites in Paphos and Amanti in Ayia Napa. Many family resorts also have a wing, pool or spa reserved for adults.

- The official register doesn't flag adults-only hotels.
- Amavi and Asimina Suites in Paphos and Amanti in Ayia Napa are, per their sites.
- Many family resorts add an adult wing, pool or spa.
- Minimum ages for those areas are usually 16 or 18.
If you want real peace and quiet, I'd pick one of the three that are adults-only throughout. An adult wing in a family resort is fine, but you still share the breakfast room and the gardens.

Adult wing, not adult hotel
Adams Beach has a Deluxe wing for over-16s with its own restaurant, but the main hotel welcomes families. Read the small print before you book.

What I would book
«Adults only» is one of the most used and least precise labels in travel. In Cyprus there are hotels with no children at all and family resorts with a pool for grown-ups, and on a booking site they can look identical. Since the official register doesn’t tell them apart, I went through each hotel’s own website and separate them here. For a broader overview by region, see where to stay in Cyprus first.
The register’s blind spot
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism’s register, in its August 2026 edition, gives each hotel’s rating, rooms, beds, address and licence status. It doesn’t say whether children are allowed, whether it’s all-inclusive or what it costs. So everything below comes from the hotels’ own websites, checked in early October 2026, with the rating taken from the register.
The three that are adults-only throughout
First is Amavi, at 22 Poseidonos Avenue in Paphos, a five-star with 155 rooms. Its website calls it a couples-only hotel, made for two, on the Paphos seafront with uninterrupted sea views and sunsets. There’s an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, a quieter water area and a spa. It belongs to Kanika, which sells it under the MadeForTwo brand.
Second is Asimina Suites, on Theas Afroditis Avenue in Paphos, a five-star with 110 rooms in the register. Its website describes it as an all-suite, adults-only hotel, with pools right outside the suites and private access to the beach.
Third is Amanti, in Ayia Napa, another five-star, with 132 rooms, and another Kanika MadeForTwo property, marketed as an adults’ hotel. At its two MadeForTwo hotels, the group sells a premium half board that, according to its website, its head chefs and sommelier developed with Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser as consultant. All three are listed with a «P» rating, provisional while the new hotel law’s classification is processed, a point I cover in luxury hotels in Cyprus.
To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Paphos on Expedia and filter by area before price.
Family resorts with adults-only areas
This is the usual trap. Adams Beach Hotel, on Nissi beach, has a Deluxe wing just for over-16s, with its own reception, pool and restaurant, but the main hotel is family-friendly. Olympic Lagoon Paphos works the same way with its Fisherman’s suites and the Serenity Oasis pool. Azia Resort in Chloraka has adults-only rooms with their own infinity pool and lounge, alongside a crèche and kids’ clubs.
Others stop at a pool or spa. Athena Beach has an area and pool for over-16s, Almyra an adults-only spa and pools, Amathus Beach an area with two seawater pools, Four Seasons Limassol an adults’ pool and suites, and Elysium an over-16s pool reserved for guests in its garden studios and villas. In central Limassol, the Alasia hotel is small and its pool is for over-18s.
Which area suits a couples’ break
Paphos is the easier pick for most couples. Amavi sits on Poseidonos Avenue, the Kato Paphos seafront road, within reach of the harbour, the mosaics of the archaeological park and plenty of restaurants. Asimina Suites is on Theas Afroditis Avenue, the coast road heading east towards Geroskipou, a little further from the old harbour. Ayia Napa’s Amanti suits a beach-first trip, with the famous sands of the south-east on your doorstep. For a city break with a pool, the small Alasia in central Limassol is the outsider, adults-only at the pool if not in the whole building.
If you are short on time, see the best tours in Paphos and pick one that fits your day.
How I’d choose
For a couple who want quiet across the whole site, I’d go for one of the three fully adults-only hotels and choose by area, Paphos to combine with the harbour and mosaics, Ayia Napa for the beaches. If you’re travelling with friends who have children, a resort with an adult wing makes sense, as each group gets its own pool and you share the rest. To fill the days, my plans for two are in romantic Cyprus. And before paying, I’d read the small print on the hotel’s site, because the minimum age varies. If you’re bringing young children, these three are off the list from the start, so look at family hotels in Cyprus. More by area in Paphos hotels and Ayia Napa hotels.
Where the bus does not go, a car does: compare car hire in Paphos before you arrive rather than at the desk.
To sleep close to everything, search places to stay in Paphos on Booking.com and filter by area before price.

Frequently asked questions
Are there adults-only hotels in Cyprus?
Yes. According to their websites, Amavi and Asimina Suites in Paphos and Amanti in Ayia Napa are adults-only. All three are listed as five-star in the official register.
Which adults-only hotel in Cyprus is on the seafront?
Amavi presents itself on the Paphos seafront with uninterrupted sea views, and Asimina Suites advertises private access to the beach.
Does the official register say which hotels are adults-only?
No. The Deputy Ministry of Tourism list gives rating, rooms and address, but not whether children are accepted. Only each hotel's website says that.
What age are the adults-only areas for?
It depends on the hotel. At Adams Beach, Athena Beach and Elysium they're for over-16s, and at the Alasia the pool is for over-18s.
Is an adults-only hotel better than an adult wing?
If you want quiet across the whole site, go for an adults-only hotel. An adult wing gives you your own pool and restaurant, but the rest of the resort is family-oriented.
