When to visit Cyprus
Cyprus in November, quiet autumn
In November the Cyprus coast still has a 23 °C high, but the rain comes back, 32.5 mm in Larnaca. UK arrivals fall to 53,267, against 168,792 in October 2025, according to CYSTAT, and on 21 November 2026 the nine Christmas villages open.

- 23 °C on the coast and the rain returns.
- Less than half October's visitors.
- Christmas villages from 21 November 2026.
For me November is the month for villages. The coast is still pleasant, the island empties out and, from the 21st, the Christmas villages give you the perfect excuse to head up into the mountains.

03 My tip
The rain returns
Larnaca gets 32.5 mm in November, over about five days, and Paphos 42.6 mm. Pack something waterproof.
Cyprus weather
What I would book
November is when Cyprus slows down. The coast is still mild, the rain gradually returns and visitor numbers more than halve. At the end of the month, the Christmas villages begin too. I explain it with WMO, CYSTAT and Deputy Ministry of Tourism data. Autumn as a whole is covered in Cyprus in autumn.
November weather
Larnaca averages a 23.4 °C high and a 12.9 °C low, and Paphos 23.1 and 13.8 °C, so sunny middays can still feel like late summer. Nicosia drops to 22.6 °C. The rain is back, with 32.5 mm in Larnaca and 42.6 mm in Paphos, over five or six days. In the Troodos, Prodromos has a 13.5 °C high and a 6.6 °C low, with 68.3 mm.
The Christmas villages
Nine villages make up the ministry’s 2026 Christmas list, among them Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Lofou and Deryneia, running from 21 November to 6 January. Expect decorations, stalls of local produce and crafts, workshops, nature walks, cycling and guided village tours, according to the announcement. I cover it in Christmas in Cyprus.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Kakopetria before prices climb.
Few visitors
According to CYSTAT, 234,580 visitors arrived in November 2025, 30.4 % more than in November 2024 but less than half October’s figure. From the UK, 53,267 came. It’s a good time to find a room, and the villages and wineries are much quieter than in high season, which makes November a fine month for unhurried day trips inland.
A month without holidays
November has no public holidays in either 2026 or 2027, according to the Central Bank of Cyprus. After 28 October, the next is Christmas.
If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Kakopetria and choose by the reviews.
Flights
Hermes’s summer 2026 schedule ends in October. The winter timetable wasn’t available to me, so check the routes from your UK airport before booking, as I explain in flights to Cyprus.
Packing
Mid-season clothes, a jacket and something waterproof for the coast, and warmer layers for the mountains, where nights drop to around 6 °C.
A car frees you from timetables: search car hire in Limassol on DiscoverCars and compare companies.
Compared with 2024
In percentage terms, November grew more than any other month in 2025, up 30.4 % according to CYSTAT. Even so, its 234,580 visitors are a long way below summer, so it remains a quiet month for touring the island.
Rainy days
The WMO gives 5.4 rainy days in Larnaca, 5.8 in Paphos and 6.6 at Prodromos. Not many, but worth having an indoor plan, such as Nicosia’s museums or a winery in the Limassol villages.
Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Kakopetria before prices climb.
My November plan
A base in Limassol or Nicosia, a morning on the beach if the sun’s out, wineries and mountain villages and, from the 21st, the Christmas village stalls. To compare, Cyprus in October is warmer and Cyprus in December more festive.
