The Molos seafront promenade in Limassol, with palm trees, lawns and the sea on one side and city buildings on the other

Alasia is a hotel with 60 rooms and 110 beds at 6 Haydari Street, central Limassol. The official list of August 2026 gives it four stars with a confirmed licence, though its own website calls it a three-star boutique. The same family has run it since 1963.

  • A 60-room boutique hotel in central Limassol.
  • Four stars with a confirmed licence on the official list.
  • An over-18s pool and a spa with an ozone pool.

It's the hotel I'd pick in Limassol for a city break as a couple or a work trip, with good service and no resort sprawl. With children it isn't for you, because the pool is for over-18s only.

What I would keep in mind

  1. 01 My tip

    Three or four stars

The official list gives it four stars with a confirmed licence; its own website talks of a three-star boutique. I go with the official one, but don't expect a resort.

What I would book

Almost every well-known Limassol hotel sits on the coast, right on the seafront. Alasia is the exception, a small hotel in the middle of town with a pool, a spa and a long family history. I go through its register entry, what’s on offer and who I’d recommend it to. The city’s alternatives are in Limassol hotels.

A mismatch of stars

The ministry’s Limassol register of August grants it four stars, with 60 rooms and 110 beds at 6 Haydari Street, with the L, meaning a confirmed licence and rating. Its website, however, calls it a three-star boutique hotel on several pages. I go with the register, but the detail helps set expectations, because this isn’t a resort.

What it’s like

The hotel says it was designed by the architect Sotiris Psaras, and that the family running it since 1963 has decorated it around a passion of theirs, horses and polo. Hence the name of its main restaurant, the Polo Restaurant & Bar, alongside a lounge restaurant, a terrace restaurant and a pool bar. Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:30 on the poolside terrace, which is for over-18s only. The spa has an ozone pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath, with one free hour per night for guests aged 16 and over, booked in advance.

Big-hotel services

For its size, the list of services is long. There’s a 24-hour concierge and room service, a gym open day and night to residents, a business centre, laundry and a gated car park that’s free around the clock. That last point matters in a city centre, where parking tends to be expensive. The rules of the road are covered in driving in Cyprus.

Alternatives

If you’d rather have the beach in front of you, Germasogeia has the Atlantica Miramare hotel, a four-star, and the east coast has the big resorts, such as the Parklane resort or the Four Seasons in Limassol.

So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Limassol on GetYourGuide.

My take

I like it for a couple’s city break, for business travellers or for anyone who wants to explore the old town, the old harbour and the Molos promenade on foot and come back to a quiet place to sleep. For families with young children, or anyone who wants to walk down to the beach in swimwear from their room, I wouldn’t recommend it. Nor if you want evening entertainment inside the hotel, because the feel is that of a quiet city hotel, with the nightlife outside in the streets of the centre. The pool is adults-only, which is why it also appears among the adults-only hotels in Cyprus, and other small family-run places like this one are in boutique hotels in Cyprus. Breakfast on the pool terrace and the polo-themed bar are the kind of small pleasures it does well. If you plan to explore inland, routes around the Limassol district begin as you leave the city. For an evening walk, head for the Limassol old port and its restaurants.

If you would rather go at your own pace, see the car hire deals in Limassol: the earlier you book, the more cars are left to choose from.
