- A resort on the Prčanj and Stoliv shore, facing Kotor.
- 252 units, 205 rooms and 47 suites, per the National Tourism Organisation.
- Private beach, yacht marina, Soul spa and Vrmac wellbeing centre.
- Over 1,000 m² of event space; hosted the 2026 Kotor carnival ball.
This is the hotel I'd choose for doing nothing with the bay in front of me, between beach and spa, rather than for exploring Kotor on foot. The old town is across the water from here, so every trip in means a car, a taxi or a boat.

What I would keep in mind
-
01 Worth the splurge
A resort with its own marina
The National Tourism Organisation's listing highlights the hotel's beach and its marina for yachts, which is what sets it apart from the old town hotels.
-
02 My tip
Carnival's big ball happens here
In 2026 the Kotor carnival's grand masked ball was held at this hotel, the festival's main sponsor. If you're coming in February, check the programme.

03 Getting there
Kotor is across the water
The hotel sits on the far shore from the old town, next to Prčanj. To reach Kotor you drive or take a taxi round the bay through Muo.
Prčanj
What I would book
Across the water from Kotor’s walls there’s a large complex right on the shore. That’s the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay, a resort with its own beach and marina, and a very different proposition from staying in the old town. Here’s what the official listings say about it; the hotel’s own website wouldn’t let me read it automatically, and I’m not going to pad this out with things I couldn’t check.
Where exactly it is
The National Tourism Organisation listing only says it’s in the heart of the UNESCO-protected bay. OpenStreetMap places it on the western shore, in the Tomići area between Prčanj and Stoliv, in Kotor municipality. In other words, opposite the old town across the water, linked to Kotor by the shore road.
Rooms and facilities
The National Tourism Organisation has two listings for the hotel. One gives 205 rooms, 21 premium suites and 26 deluxe suites; the other, 252 units in all, which is the sum of the three. On site are the Soul spa and the Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Centre, and the hotel has its own beach and a marina for yachts. The same listing mentions signature restaurants and bars and wellbeing programmes without details I could check.
There are no nightly rates here, because no official source I could read publishes them, and no star rating either, for the same reason.

Events and weddings
The hotel has over 1,000 m² of meeting and event space, with a grand ballroom and equipped rooms, and the National Tourism Organisation puts its maximum capacity at 450 people. In February 2026 it hosted the grand masked ball of the Kotor carnival, which it sponsored, according to Kotor’s tourist board.
What’s nearby
A short trip along the shore brings you to two things worth doing. In Prčanj, the Museum of Living History in a former monastery, where you try on armour, shoot a bow and mint coins by hand, according to the National Tourism Organisation. And in Stoliv every spring, the Camellia Festival, marking the flower a local sailor brought back from Japan in 1870. From Kotor’s old town both are a bit out of the way; from here they’re round the corner.

Who I’d recommend it to
Anyone travelling to unwind, with children or as a couple, who wants beach, spa and bay without leaving the hotel. Not to anyone who wants to walk Kotor at first light, because every visit to the old town means driving or taking a taxi round the bay. If historic palaces are your thing, look at the old town or Dobrota; if it’s the bay from a sunlounger, this is your place. One cost to factor in either way. The hotel falls within Kotor municipality, so adults pay a €1 nightly tourist tax, half that for teenagers aged 12 to 18, and under-12s nothing.
