Four-star hotel in Bečići, Budva Riviera

Iberostar Bellevue, the garden hotel on Bečići beach

The Iberostar Bellevue is a four-star hotel right on Bečići beach, 2 km from Budva Old Town, now sold as the Iberostar Waves Bellevue. Its website lists 40,000 m² of gardens, four pools including an indoor one, three clay tennis courts, a kids' club split into three age groups and a spa.

    • The Iberostar Bellevue is a four-star on Bečići beach, 2 km from Budva Old Town.
    • It's now sold as the Iberostar Waves Bellevue.
    • It has 40,000 m² of gardens, four pools, free morning tennis and a kids' club up to age 17.
    • Beach loungers and the spa cost extra.

Of the big Bečići hotels, this is the one I'd pick with children of different ages, because the kids' club runs right up to 17 and the tennis is free in the mornings. What puts me off is paying extra for a beach lounger, so factor that in when you compare it with the hotels next door.

    Before you go

What I would keep in mind

    1. 01 Most beautiful

Ten acres of garden by the sea

The hotel sits in 40,000 m² of gardens, and several room types are sold on the view over the grounds rather than over the sea.

    2. 02 To save money

      Free tennis until mid-afternoon

The three clay courts in the gardens are free to use from 10:00 to 15:00, according to the hotel, which also offers lessons.

    3. 03 Watch out

      Beach loungers cost extra

You get direct access to Bečići beach, but sunbeds and parasols carry a supplement and pool towels need a deposit, so budget for both.

      Bečići
    4. 04 Getting there

Sveti Stefan is 7 km away

The Budva to Sveti Stefan town bus runs through Bečići every ten minutes in season, so the island village is a short hop.

      Sveti Stefan

    What I would book

Among the big hotels lining Bečići beach, the Bellevue has the most green space around it. Iberostar now sells it as the Iberostar Waves Bellevue, though the Budva tourist board’s list still calls it by its old name, which is the one most British searches use. Everything I say about the facilities comes from the hotel’s page on the Iberostar website, which I read in the archive.org copy of 31 August 2026 because the live page blocks automated readers.

    Location and what’s around it

The hotel is right on the front at Bečići, with direct access to a beach of sand and gravel, and it’s set in 40,000 m² of gardens. Budva Old Town is about 2 km away along the seafront path and through the tunnel under the Zavala headland, and the hotel puts Sveti Stefan about 7 km down the coast. So it’s a beach base with town a walk away and the rest of the riviera a bus ride off, on the town service from Budva to Sveti Stefan that runs every ten minutes in season. Flying in, Tivat is the closer airport.

    Rooms for most party sizes

The website lists about a dozen room types. Doubles run from 20 to 25 m² with a balcony or terrace over the gardens, and the priority-location ones sit on the upper floors with a sea or side sea view. For families there are rooms of 28 to 32 m² with two fold-out beds, interconnecting doubles of 40 to 44 m² and two-room family suites. At the top end come junior suites, 32 m² with a sea view or 47 to 52 m² over the gardens, and master suites of 52 to 70 m² with two separate bedrooms. All have air conditioning, while the safe and minibar are charged.

Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Bečići before prices climb.

Pools, tennis and the kids’ club

This is what sets it apart for me. There are four pools, two outdoors, a children’s pool and an indoor one, and three clay tennis courts in the gardens that are free from 10:00 to 15:00. The activity list adds water polo, pétanque, basketball, Pilates and aqua aerobics. Children get the Star Camp, split into three age groups, 4 to 7, 8 to 12 and 13 to 17, with a shared games room. A programme that thinks about teenagers is rarer than you’d expect on this coast.

    Eating and unwinding

The website mentions two restaurants, an international buffet with live cooking and another serving Montenegrin and Balkan food such as shopska salad, roast lamb and fish from the coast, plus a lobby bar and a pool bar. The spa is paid and includes a hammam, sauna, steam and salt bath, whirlpool and massages. All inclusive is available, and you’ll find it set beside rival deals along the coast in all-inclusive hotels in Montenegro.

If you would rather have a local show you round, book a guided tour in Iberostar Bellevue and choose by the reviews.

    Worth knowing before you book

Rooms are ready from 15:00 and need vacating by 12:00, though they may let you in earlier when it’s quiet. Beach sunbeds and parasols carry a supplement and pool towels need a deposit. If you’re torn between this and its neighbours, the five-star Splendid and the Eurostars Queen of Montenegro share the same beach, and my area-by-area breakdown of the riviera is in hotels in Budva.

Once your dates are set, check which hotels are still free in Bečići before prices climb.
