    • The Queen of Montenegro is a four-star run by Eurostars in Bečići, 4 km from Budva.
    • It has 236 rooms and more than 1,500 m² of wellness area with a free thermal circuit.
    • Its private beach, about 300 m away, has free loungers and parasols.
    • Parking is €7 a day and pets aren't allowed.

I'd book the Queen for the spa, which is what sets it apart from its Bečići neighbours, and I'd go outside August to enjoy it without the crowds. I wouldn't bring the dog, as pets aren't allowed, and I wouldn't count on parking without asking for a space when you book.

    Before you go

What I would keep in mind

    1. 01 Worth the splurge

Over 1,500 m² of spa, thermal circuit included

The hotel describes a wellness area of more than 1,500 m² with a Turkish bath, saunas, tropical shower and whirlpool, with free use of the thermal circuit from 8:00 to 21:00.

    2. 02 To save money

      Free sunbeds and parasols

The hotel's private beach, about 300 metres away, has complimentary loungers and parasols for guests, which not every hotel on the riviera throws in.

    3. 03 My tip

      Breakfast in bed until noon

Room service does breakfast from 8:00 to 12:00 and an all-day menu until 22:00, handy after a late dinner in Budva Old Town.

    4. 04 Getting there

Tivat airport is half an hour away

The hotel puts Tivat airport 25 km away, around 30 minutes by car, and Podgorica 60 km, roughly an hour. Check which of the two your flight uses before booking a transfer.

    What I would book

The Queen of Montenegro is the Bečići hotel that sells itself on its spa rather than its sand. It belongs to Eurostars, a Spanish chain, and sits a little back from the water at the Rafailovići end of the bay, with its own beach a short stroll away. What follows comes from the chain’s page for the hotel, checked on 10 October 2026, unless I say otherwise.

    Where it is

The address is Narodnog Fronta, Bečići, about 4 km from Budva according to the hotel. Tivat airport is 25 km away, around 30 minutes by car, and Podgorica is 60 km, roughly an hour. Bečići beach runs for about 2,000 metres, and the Budva tourist board likes to recall its Paris Grand Prix of 1935. The hotel has a private section with free loungers and parasols for guests. The website puts it about 300 metres from the building, although other sections say 200 or 350, so expect a short walk rather than stepping straight onto the sand.

A spa of more than 1,500 square metres

This is what separates the Queen from its neighbours. The wellness area covers more than 1,500 m², with a Turkish bath, saunas, a tropical shower, a whirlpool and a gym that never closes. The spa runs from 8:00 to 21:00 and the thermal circuit is free for guests, so it isn’t an extra that turns up on your bill at checkout. Outside beach season, when the sea has cooled down, that’s what would tip it for me, and a free circuit makes a rainy day far easier to fill.

If you are staying the night, see the best hotel deals in Bečići for your dates: the well-placed rooms go fast.

    Rooms, pools and food

There are 236 rooms, the same figure the national tourist board gives. There are two outdoor pools, open from 8:00 to 19:00, a restaurant doing Mediterranean and international food with live cooking, and several bars, one in the lobby by the pool, one on the beach and a taverna that serves as the all-inclusive area between meals. There’s also a panoramic terrace over the Adriatic and more than 500 m² of event space. To compare boards, see all-inclusive hotels in Montenegro.

    The practical bits

Check-in is 15:00 and check-out 12:00. Parking is €7 a day, subject to space, and pets aren’t allowed. Room service does breakfast from 8:00 to 12:00 and a menu until 22:00, and families can book a package that puts a tipi tent in the room for the children. Small things, but on the Montenegrin coast in August, finding somewhere to park is not a minor detail, and nor is being able to sleep through breakfast after a late night in town.

So you do not lose the morning at the ticket office, browse tickets and tours in Eurostars Queen of Montenegro on GetYourGuide.

    How it compares

On the same bay you’ll find the Iberostar Bellevue, with more garden and more pools, the five-star Splendid and the Montenegro Beach Resort, which only opens from April to October. If you haven’t settled on an area yet, my breakdown of the whole riviera is in hotels in Budva.
